Growing is simple and the nutritional benefits your will receieve from fresh juice will leave you wanting more. Easy Steps on How to Grow Wheatgrass at Home

1. Purchase a wheatgrass juicer and a home wheatgrass growing kit here.
2. Soak 1 cup (125g) of organic wheatgrass seed (aka wheatberry) for 8-12 hours.
3. Drain seeds and then rinse thoroughly with cold running water three or four times until water runs clear.
4. Place peat free compost in tray to even depth of 1-1.5 inches (25-40mm).
5. Distribute sprouted seeds evenly over the soil making sure the seeds aren't smothered by each other.
6. Soak seeds and soil thoroughly with water (ideally with a small watering can)
7. Leave in a dark, shady place at room temperature 68-86F (20-30ºC) for 2-3 days.
8. Then move into a bright area avoiding direct sunlight (a windowsill is a good place).
9. It is important to keep wheatgrass well watered at all times, but not waterlogged.
10. If mold does form on the soil, just harvest above the mold and wash well.
11. Harvest with a scissors when wheatgrass reaches 8-10inches (7-10 days).
12. Juice using only a slow turning wheatgrass juicer. Blenders and other home juicers don't work as they simply chop and oxidize the grass. Chopped grass cannot be digested.
* You may get another harvest from your seed, however, the second harvest may not be as nutrient rich.
